The Harsey T3 Ranger was designed to be
the ultimate extreme-use field knife for utility
or big-game hunting chores. Designed by custom
knife maker and artist William Harsey of Creswell
Oregon the knife is very large, rugged, good looking
and comfortable in the hand. The frame and locking
liner are built from stainless steel making this big
knife extremely tough and corrosion resistant. The attachment clip is stainless
steel. The blade shape is a classic “Drop-Point” that
is fully beveled for superior tip-strength making
it useful for a multitude of field tasks. Blade
material is the new CPM-S30V high-carbon “Super” stainless
steel that is precision heat treated, tempered
and sub-zero quenched to achieve maximum edge
retention, flexibility and corrosion resistance.
The contoured handle is molded from black fiberglass-filled
nylon that is great looking, tough and chemical resistant.
The handle shape is well thought-out
and provides finger groves and notching in key
areas to assure a positive grip under any conditions.
The blade has a locking-liner for safety. The
ambidextrous thumb-stud provides easy one handed
opening and closing of the blade. All fasteners
are stainless steel and the open support-column
style back spacers allow easy cleaning after field
use. Dirt, sand and other contaminates can be
easily washed out of the handle because there
are fewer areas inside the knife to trap these
materials. The Combat version of this knife is
called the Tactical-Folder and it has been tested
by Rangers, Seals and Special Forces personnel.
The Ranger is built to the same specifications
with only the false edge removed from the combat
blade to provide a more useful utility and hunting
blade style. Those who have tested this product
have described it as the best large folding hunting
knife they have ever seen. Mr. Harsey has put
